VAM Registrars Reception Redux

As you know, there will be a pre-VAM meeting reception for registrars on Saturday, March 13th in Richmond (see image below for details). This is a meet and greet that was put together by Kimberly Terbush Watson (and if I understand from her correctly, Beth Austin also was involved in the arrangements!) and they have had a lot of positive response and sponsorship for the event.

To show our support and to promote the museums of Hampton Roads and our newly formed group, we are putting together a gift bag that will be given away by drawing at the reception. Ideally, the gift bag will have something from each of our respective museums. With that in mind, we are asking that folks forward their museum-related goodies at your earliest possible convenience. Anything from postcards to exhibition catalogues to t-shirts to Frisbees are welcome (anything that relates to your museum or has your museum’s name or logo attached!).

Please send the items to my attention at the Muscarelle Museum of Art, College of William & Mary, P.O. Box 8795, Williamsburg, VA 23187-8795 (for FedEx/UPS use 603 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185). If you have any questions or concerns please feel to post questions here, the discussion board or via e-mail at mmparris@wm.edu. Please have everything forwarded by March 12th -- many thanks!

  1. I've got something for the gift bag! We have a super-useful book "Photography Speaks/150 Photographers on Their Art". It's a great reference for copyright and artist dates :)

And again, carpooling from Norfolk/Portsmouth to Williamsburg to Richmond on Saturday for this reception if anyone is interested.

  2. I have already received some nice "goodies" for the HRRG Gift Bag -- thanks so much to the contributors! There is still time to get your museum-branded objects in but remember the deadline is this Friday. Many thanks.
